THE GREY AREA PROJECT
Ending the ambiguity of abuse.
What started as a conversation in a bar between Monica Anne and Zoya Pon comes the Grey Area Project: a limited podcast and video series. This initiative seeks to inform, increase awareness of and encourage discussion on the different forms of abuse that exist.
We will be providing a platform for sharing experiences and having much needed conversations about the 'grey areas' of abuse- those that are subtle, confusing, and often invalidated.
WHY 'GREY AREA'?
WE USE THE TERM "GREY AREA" BECAUSE ABUSE THAT IS NOT 'EXTREME' CAN FEEL CONFUSING AND INVALID. EVEN THOUGH WE DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ALL THE TERMINOLOGY TO DESCRIBE THESE NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THESE FORMS OF ABUSE ARE NOT DAMAGING AND TRAUMATIC.
WHO
Monica Anne and Zoya Pon
Film production freelancer/designer of Pérola Macrame, Monica Anne, and content creator/writer, Zoya Pon, will be acting as the facilitators and hosts of this series.
